The Providers Catalog is one of the most important in ChiroSuiteEHR. It includes all the data necessary to identify both the Providers in the practice and the practice information that is required for billing and record keeping. A provider is any individual in the practice that is giving to patients a billable service and/or needs to schedule appointments in the ChiroSuiteEHR scheduler. This includes but may not be limited to doctors, therapists, consultants and trainers.
Each provider’s information must be in the system in order to enter the provider’s electronic signature on SOAP notes in ChiroPadEMR, and include practice and provider information on the CMS-1500 insurance claim forms in ChiroOffice, letters and other documents throughout ChiroSuiteEHR, and also to set up appointment schedules for a given provider. It is critically essential that the Provider’s information is present in the Catalog.

To add a new provider, click the New button in the upper right hand corner of the Providers catalog window (Figure 36). Additional data fields contained in tab Other are used by ChiroOffice for electronic claims and State of New York Worker’s Compensation Board forms. If this provider regularly treats patients at a location other than the office, then open and enter the appropriate information in tab Service Facility Location – Box 32. It is critically essential that you have each provider of service that practices in your office entered in this catalog in order to assign patients, schedule appointments, sign notes, sign letters and documents, apply charges/payments and bill insurance for this provider.
