Suppress Missing Notes Report

Be very cautious when selecting this option. The laws, rules and regulations vary greatly from State to State. NEVER select this option for any provider that needs to have his/her information appear on the CMS-1500.

The Missing Progress Notes Report checks the ChiroSuiteEHR system for patients that have charges but do not have a completed SOAP note for the dates of service that apply to those charges.

In some states, there are providers such as massage therapists, assistants, counselors and others that perform services in a practice under the direction and supervision of a doctor (DC, MD, DO), but those providers are never identified in the billing. The charges for those services are always labeled as provided by the supervising doctor. For the supervised providers, it is possible that the practice would want to omit them from the ChiroSuiteEHR Missing Progress Notes Report. Note that this refers to the supervised providers that must be in the appointment schedule but they never enter progress notes in ChiroPadEMR and never have their information appear on an insurance claim. If this Missing Progress Notes report is NOT suppressed, then every time the Missing Progress Notes Report is produced, it will list all patients treated by this provider that do not have SOAP progress notes for the dates being billed.
