Upon opening Settings from ChiroOffice, the General Preferences screen appears. Opening Settings from ChiroPadEMR initially opens to the ChiroPadEMR Settings (which will be discussed later in this chapter). In the ChiroPadEMR Settings, click on the Preferences button at the upper left to open the General Preferences window. Settings affecting the general operation of ChiroSuiteEHR are changed from this screen, as shown in Figure 4.

Select text when entering field – When using the Tab key to advance into an edit field, the text will automatically be selected.
Enter key advances to next field – Sets the Enter key to emulate the behavior of the Tab key, for the purpose of moving from field to field.
Play sound when saving – Whenever an entry is saved the system plays an audible tone. Uncheck this box to shut off the save tone sound.
POS mode – The Point-Of-Service mode is designed remind users which data fields are critical to the system. It provides special colorization cues to indicate specific data fields and features. Although colorization is present, an advanced user in Classic mode will still see all the data fields, but none will be highlighted or colored. It is recommended that POS mode is always clicked so all users benefit.
Classic mode –Classic mode eliminates the colorization features used by POS mode.
