These are security options designed to minimize the risk of unauthorized individuals accessing protected patient data (remember HIPAA). Either option can be set for the number of minutes that the user determines to be appropriate. The setting allows for any number of minutes between 1 and 99. If the keyboard, mouse and/or touch screen for that computer have not been touched or moved in the number of minutes selected, the option will take effect.
•Auto Lock blanks the computer’s display screen, but does NOT close the program. When the user returns, he/she will be prompted to log in. After the staff member has logged in, the computer will open to the window that was on the screen when the Auto Lock went into effect.
•Auto Log Off not only blanks the screen, but also closes the ChiroSuiteEHR program. When the user returns, he/she will be required to log in and restart the program.
