Remaining

The Remaining box shows the amount of the Deductible that has not been met. Make an entry in this box ONLY when it is 100% certain that the patient will meet the Deductible in the office. If there is any doubt, then leave this box blank or set at “0”. As long as there is a Deductible amount Remaining, the system will automatically assign the responsibility for fees to the patient. If the patient meets the Deductible at another health care facility, and the insurance carrier pays the practice, it will be a more involved and time consuming process to post the payment correctly.
