Range of Motion

The Range of Motion (ROM) measurement normal values used in ChiroPadEMR are the standards used in the text Guides to the Evaluation of Permanent Impairment published by the American Medical Association. Each practice has the option of changing the ROM measurement normal values. In the event that the doctor or practice opts to change the ROM measurement normal values, Life Systems Software strongly urges the use of a text that can be used as a reference source for the change.

From the Customize Menu (figure 40) click on the Range of Motion item to open the Customize Range of Motion window (figure 8).

The column on the left lists the ROM Tables that are in ChiroPadEMR. The Tables listed will appear in the patient’s ROM window. In the Settings section, there is the ability to arrange the order of the Tables list as it will appear in the patient’s ROM window, as well as the order that prints in SOAP notes and Narrative Reports.

The column on the right is the ROM Format. This lists Headings and specific ROM items with their Normal Values.

ChiroPadEMR enables the ability to add, modify, and delete both ROM Tables and individual ROM items.
