The Preferences heading accessed from ChiroOffice contains six (6) choices in the dynamic button bar: General, Front Desk, Insurance, Statements, Printers and Transactions (figure 2).

In ChiroPadEMR there are only 3 selections in the Preferences dynamic button bar: General, Front Desk, and Printers (figure 3) since the other items pertain only to the ChiroOffice section of ChiroSuiteEHR.

The functions of Cancel and OK are the same for all settings. Clicking Cancel will discard any entries or changes made and close this window. Clicking OK will save the entries and changes, close this window, and generate a pop up message that reminds the user that Changes will not take effect until you have closed and re-opened the ChiroSuiteEHR programs. These settings apply ONLY to the computer on which they were entered. For the changes to apply to other computers in the practice, the entries must be repeated on each computer where those functions are desired. Each computer user in the practice may need different settings. The Preferences should be set according to the needs of the staff member that uses that computer the most frequently.
