MANUAL STIMULATION TESTS

If the Preferences default Exam Type is Manual Stimulation, then the Exam Performed box on the left, just below the Exam Date, displays the list of Manual Stimulation Tests (figure 44). If needed, click on the Exam Type drop down arrow to change from the default Manual Stimulation Test to the Tendon Reflexes.  Click on the name of the Manual Stimulation Test that was done to activate the Region Examined box.

The same 3 Findings boxes, Left, Bilateral and Right that were present for the Reflex Tests are present for the Manual Stimulation Tests. If the result of the Manual Stimulation Test is different on the left and right sides of the patient, then use the Left Finding and Right Finding boxes to make the entry. When the Manual Stimulation Test is the same on both sides, use the Bilateral Finding box.

After completing the default Exam Type, click on the Exam Type drop down arrow to select and enter the other Findings. For example, if the default was for Reflex Tests, once the Reflex entries are finished, click on the Exam Type drop down and select Manual Stimulation to enter that information.

As the entries are made, they will populate the Selected Findings box (figure 45) on the lower left of the window.
