Select the Region of the body where the muscle(s) is/are located from the Region box. Once a Region has been selected, a list of muscles will appear in the Muscles box. Click on a muscle and it will appear in the Findings Summary box on the right side of the screen. As Findings are entered for this muscle, those findings will also appear in the Findings Summary under the name of the muscle.
Mandatory Entries:
1. Due to the rules and regulations of Medicare and State Boards, the system requires the selection of Left, Right, Bilateral, or in some instances Middle (for neck extensor and flexors).
2. The Muscle Strength must be noted, either Strong/Weak or by using the AMA grading scale.
If one of these items is missing, ChiroPadEMR/ChiroSuiteEHR will NOT save the entry.
Optional Entries:
•If an electronic muscle testing instrument was used, enter the measurement result in the Electric Testing Result box
•Should there be an additional Observation, click on it in the Observations box
•In the event that an Observation was selected, there is the additional option to enter its Severity in the Severity box
•Should there be a need for more information to be entered, click on the Extended Detail/Complications button at the bottom of the window
