The DX Visitometer is set on the Diagnosis window. When it is set, it displays whether or not it has Expired, the number of Visits Allowed and the number of Visits Remaining for the current Diagnosis Set. This shows when the Diagnosis will expire. Under Medicare’s current rules and regulations the Diagnosis should be changed to support the fact that the patient’s condition is changing. Although this may not be the subluxation diagnosis on line 1, the other diagnosis codes should change, even if the change is simply rearranging the order of the diagnoses. Remember that Medicare requires a re-evaluation examination at least once every 30 days while the patient is under Active Treatment (AT modifier on claims). This means that the DX Visitometer can also be a reminder of when to schedule a re-examination.
