ChiroPadEMR Check-Out

If the practice does NOT have the ChiroOffice portion of ChiroSuiteEHR and wants to Sign-in and Check-Out patients in ChiroPadEMR, the process is simple. The patient is signed-in as noted above, either from the Scheduled column for those patients with appointments or from the Find Patients tab for those that walked in. To Check-Out the patient, return to the Front Desk window, right click the patient’s name and choose Check out. As in the full ChiroSuiteEHR, ChiroPadEMR will examine the patient’s account to confirm if there is another appointment scheduled. If the patient does not have another appointment scheduled, ChiroPadEMR will display the Appointments window to provide the opportunity to set one or more appointments.  Setting an appointment is not required, but is recommended for the purpose of maintaining high patient retention in the practice. If one or more appointments are already scheduled, the automatic checkout process recognizes this and will bypass the Appointments window. As part of the ChiroPadEMR Check-Out process, the system will open to the Documents window, enabling the completion of the SOAP note for that visit. If the SOAP note has already been completed, or if the provider has a reason to not complete the SOAP note at that time, just click the Close Patient button.

The Appointment window is designed to function as an integral part of ChiroOffice, and is made available in ChiroPadEMR as a courtesy. When used in conjunction with ChiroOffice in ChiroSuiteEHR, the patient’s scheduled appointments can be printed from the Transaction screen, giving the patient a written commitment to keep his/her appointments.
