Adjustment Technique Indicators

The next box in the column is for the Adjustment Technique Indicators (figure 6). In each practice the doctor decides what each symbol means. This information is for in-office reference only. It purposely does not generate any text in the SOAP notes or narratives in order to avoid potential issues with claims examiners and auditors.

Here are some suggestions for using the Technique Indicators. However, they can be used to mean anything that is practical for the practice.

The hand symbol indicates an adjustment or manipulation by hand.

This symbol could be used to identify either Activator Technique or Torque Release Technique

DV originally referred to diversified technique.

TP initially meant Thompson terminal point technique.

The T1, T2, T3 and T4 indicators are designated by the doctor to mean any technique for which there is no specific symbol.
